Good Graves is a much better choice here because it’s free Faith for little effort and will top you back up from the Faith lost when someone inevitably dies. Do you really need more poop? The answer is: no. They’re no good to you old, so sacrifice them at the last moment and unlock some better weapons with Only the Good Die Young.ĤB: Look at your base. ![]() Sure, you can save them up and get a bunch of Faith if you choose the Respect Your Elders trait, but you should be sacrificing your cultists when they’re old. There are plenty of other ways to get Faith, so funerals are just extra and don’t give you a completely new mechanic to play around with.ģB: The problem with elders is: they die. While Belief in the Afterlife can be handy, your cultists shouldn’t be dropping dead all the time if you’re playing carefully and tending to their needs (and cleaning up poop and vomit, naturally).ĢA: Resurrections come in super handy at the end of the game because it’s another way to quickly recruit a new follower, which you need to do for reasons I won’t spoil. Sacrificing cultists when they’re a high level is easily the fastest way to grow in power and unlock stronger weapons and curses. The corpses of the dead become poop, which can be used as fertilizer.ĤB: Grieve the Fallen – Unlocks the Graves building. But they lose 20 Faith if an elder dies of natural causes.ĤA: Return to the Earth – Unlocks the Natural Burial building. Neither of them have tentacles like the sacrifice ritual. In one version there is a white light and no body parts.in the evil version there is a red light and body parts. Okay to reexplain it the "Ascend Follower Ritual" has two different versions. That is not what I am talking about here. Yes, I know there are two different rituals. Though the sound and the meat/bones falling from the ceiling seem to suggest it's maybe not as nice as it looks.įrom what I've heard, Ascended followers can't be resurrected. Sacrificing them is the evil looking, tentacles-from-the-floor ritual you'll see. You can actually get both, they're different choices. There's an Ascend ritual, and a Sacrifice ritual.
